As of May 31, 2009, commitments to The Campaign for OSU total $507 million. Learn more about campaign progress.

In the first full year of the planned 3.5-year public phase, we are seeing more and more results of the campaign; facilities are the most visible. Of the campaign's $126.25 million goal for Facilities and Equipment, 92% has been committed to date. In May, the OSU community celebrated Kearney Hall, home of the School of Civil and Construction Engineering. This $12 million renovation of the historic Apperson Hall was funded completely with private gifts. It was made possible by the vision of lead donors Lee and Connie Kearney (pictured), and more than 800 alumni and other friends who donated to the project.

Whether they come from private individuals, charitable foundations, or business partners, recent gifts to OSU are making a major impact on students, Oregon, and the world.

  • For Students: Gifts from the estate of Frances Cripps provide scholarships for students in the College of Science who are interested in the life sciences and careers related to human health.
  • For Oregon: The Bullitt Foundation awarded $115,000 for an Institute for Natural Resources project to enhance economies and sustainability of rural communities in the Pacific Northwest.
  • For the World: TDS Telecommunications Corp. has made a bandwidth donation to OSU's Open Source Lab worth more than $1.4 million.
