On May 5, Oregon State University honored its newest Distinguished Professors and recognized faculty holding endowed positions and members of prestigious national academies. On hand to celebrate this collective excellence were members of the OSU Foundation’s 1868 Society, its lifetime giving society.
OSU is Oregon’s leading research university, recognized nationally in the top tier of U.S. institutions for the depth and breadth of its research and graduate programs. We are known for identifying, exploring and solving critical contemporary challenges of sustaining Earth ecosystems, improving human health and wellness, and promoting economic growth and social progress.
It is because of our faculty that OSU has such impact. They are national and international leaders in their scholarship, creative activity research, teaching, and service. They are training the next generation of leaders who will carry forth the work of making our state and our world a better place.
