OSU Presents – A Wine Experience

Presented by the OSU Alumni Association

Join OSU Assistant Professor of Marketing Keven Malkewitz for a sensory wine experience as he takes us through the psychology of consumer brand impressions and how they relate to wine label design and marketing. Following Professor Malkewitz’s presentation, enjoy the featured wines and experience how they pair with hors d’oeuvres prepared on-site by the chefs of Rancho Las Palmas’s signature restaurant bluEmber. Guests attending the event will receive a certificate for 20% off dining at bluEmber.


Tuesday, March 2

Golf Tournament

Presented by OSU Athletics

8:00 a.m. Shotgun Start (Registration and continental breakfast begin at 6:30 a.m. A BBQ lunch will immediately follow the tournament.)

Join OSU Athletic Director Bob De Carolis, Head Football Coach Mike Riley, OSU President Ed Ray, and other OSU alumni and friends for a golf tournament at Indian Wells Golf Resort – Celebrity Course. Indian Wells Golf Resort holds the distinction of being the only 36-hole public golf facility with both courses on Golfweek's Top 20 "Best Courses You Can Play" in California. Clive Clark's Celebrity Course served as the site of the 25th Anniversary LG Skins Game in 2007, and again in 2008. Tournament participants will receive a 10% discount on logo merchandise purchased in the Golf Shop on the day of play and a special rate of $65 for appointments at the resort's Callaway Performance Center.

In an era when myriad accounts of a news event anywhere on Earth can reach us virtually in real time – while it becomes harder and harder to separate fact from fiction and opinion in what we see, hear and read – how can we remain informed, discerning watchers of our world and citizens of our democracy? Ron Seymour, OSU instructor in New Media Communications, will give us tips on how to swim in the flood of information.

Celebrate with us as we honor three of OSU's most distinguished alumni and friends at the annual Destination OSU Awards Gala. The evening will begin with a cocktail reception and dinner followed by a dessert reception on the outdoor plaza.
