Prosperity through Innovation
The College of Engineering is emerging as one of the highest-performing, fastest-growing educational enterprises in the nation. Our research addresses critical issues, from finding new sources of energy to developing new technologies that fuel the Oregon economy and improve lives. Most important, we educate thousands of new engineers, helping to meet the rising demand in our high-tech world.
Through the campaign, the College of Engineering seeks to build on this momentum, increasing our ability to produce the life-changing innovations and innovators of tomorrow.

Highlights
OSU has one of the largest undergraduate engineering programs in the country.
Engineering faculty and students pioneered the world's first transparent integrated circuit, a biodiesel microreactor, and a passively-safe nuclear reactor.
Engineering faculty out-produce their peers nationwide and rank 16 out of nearly 400 engineering programs in overall productivity.
Fourteen young professors won prestigious, highly-competitive Career Awards from the National Science Foundation between 1997 and 2007.
