The college is the acknowledged research leader among the forestry colleges in North America, according to a survey published in the Journal of Forestry.
OSU innovations include a new, soy-based wood glue, which Columbia Forest Produces now uses in the production of interior plywood, dramatically reducing residential and commercial air pollution.
At Hinkle Creek watershed in southern Oregon, OSU scientists collaborate with Roseburg Forest Products and USGS scientists on what is arguably the largest, most sophisticated study of forest practices in the nation.
