The Heart of Research and Discovery
From developing a new, more effective cancer drug to leading national discussion of fisheries management, the OSU College of Science is at the forefront of addressing many global challenges. Today the college connects to every OSU interdisciplinary strategic initiative, helping drive critical research and learning endeavors.
Investments in The Campaign for OSU will help the college produce many more scientific leaders and make discoveries critically important to the future of Oregon and the world.

Linus Pauling Science Center naming opportunities in support of the research and education programs in the new $62.5 million facility. The center will house leading OSU chemists and the Linus Pauling Institute. It will also provide educational space for students and researchers studying chemistry, biology, and the life sciences. |

Highlights
The College of Science is represented in all six of the OSU's strategic initiatives: a special effort to build on OSU's strengths in collaborative research and teaching.
The number of undergraduate chemistry majors has tripled in the last five years, defying national trends.
The college's conservation biology research has been ranked as the best of 315 such programs in North America.
OSU ranks sixth in the U.S. in the number of times its research in geosciences is cited in peer-reviewed articles.
