The Benton Hall Society honors those who have remembered Oregon State University in their estate planning. Such gifts include bequests, charitable remainder trusts, and gift annuities.
If you already have included the OSU Foundation in your estate plans, or are considering a planned gift, you are encouraged to inform the OSU Foundation Planned Giving Department so we can recognize you as a Benton Hall Society member.
Benton Hall, the oldest building on the OSU Campus, was built in 1887 through private gifts from the citizens of Corvallis and the surrounding communities. The grounds, consisting of 39 acres, later were donated to the State of Oregon as an incentive to permanently locate the state's agriculture college at the new building in Corvallis.
While its uses and names have changed over the last century, Benton Hall remains the cornerstone and the emotional core of the Oregon State University campus. Deferred gifts continue this great tradition of philanthropy and commitment to higher education, enabling the University to build an even better future.
