From the first moment you stepped on campus, you have received gifts from those who came before you. Each year alumni, parents and friends of Oregon State provide millions of dollars that enhance the college experience. By funding everything from scholarships to new buildings, private support helps Oregon State and its students. As you prepare for graduation, the Senior Class Gift gives you the opportunity to not only thank those who have provided for you but to take part in a tradition that will benefit future OSU students.
The Senior Class Gift will create a scholarship in honor of the graduating class. The Class of 2008 Scholarship will be administered by the Office of Financial Aid and support an academically worthy, financially needy student at Oregon State. As the scholarship grows, more students will benefit from the generosity of the Class of 2008.
As a graduating senior you have the opportunity to leave a legacy at Oregon State. For the past 4-5 years you have benefitted from generous alumni, and now you can give back. For years to come, the Class of 2008 scholarship will honor your class and make a difference for students.
We are asking every graduating senior to give $25 (or more, if you are able) to the Senior Class Gift in honor of their graduation. Our goal is to get as many seniors involved with the program as possible; participating is much more important than the amount that you decide to give!
This year will be the first year the Senior Class Gift has existed in this capacity at Oregon State, so we want to make it BIG! By the end of the fiscal year our goal is to raise $15,000 from 500 seniors.
