The Student Success Center will house a distinctive program serving both the general student population and student-athletes with an array of academic support and counseling services, learning laboratories, and proactive services for academically at-risk students. This $14 million facility presents a unique opportunity to expand access to academic support and integrate services for campus students with those provided to student-athletes.
The three-story Student Success Center will be constructed on 26th Street, next to the CH2M HILL Alumni Center, near athletic facilities and residence halls - a convenient location for student athletes and many students in their first years at OSU. The facility will include approximately 30,000 square feet of space for classrooms, a computer lab, study lounge and commons area as well as counseling offices, meeting rooms and tutorial spaces.
We have raised $7 million in private support and received $7 million in matching bonds from the state to fund this project. Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin in Fall 2010 and be completed during the 2011 academic year.
