Giving Back in 2008
For some students, scholarship support is the only way they can achieve the dream of a college education.
Take Jonathan Hoskins, for example. The Bridge to Success Scholar is now pursuing a degree in chemical engineering and working toward a career developing alternative fuel sources.

You too can help students earn a college degree, by supporting scholarships or another OSU program, when you make a 2008 gift.
Tax Benefits
Now is the time to explore how you can reduce your taxes while helping OSU transform lives:
- Receive a great income tax deduction

Important Deadlines
Hours:
The OSU Foundation will be open on Wednesday, December 31, 2008. The OSUF Gift Processing staff will be here that day from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to process all donations for calendar year end.
Checks:
Gifts made by check postmarked by Wednesday, December 31, qualify for a 2008 tax deduction.
Credit Cards:
Call 800-354-7281 with a credit card before 3:00 p.m. on December 31.
Online Gifts:
Make an online gift anytime before 9:00 p.m. PST on December 31.
Gifts of Stock:
For gifts of stock, the securities must be transferred into the OSU Foundation's brokerage account by December 31. Contact Colisse Franklin for details at 541-737-2059 or 800-354-7281.
IRA Rollover Gifts:
For IRA Rollover gifts, please contact the custodian of your account as soon as possible to get the transfer process started; gifts with a postmark of December 31 will be counted as a gift in 2008. Contact Julie Irmer for details at 503-553-3408 or 800-336-8217.
